Event will also showcase the work of some of the creative companies supported by the DCAL/Arts Council £4.5 million Creative Industries Innovations Fund (CIIF)

People employed in the Creative Industries in Northern Ireland are being encouraged to attend the Arts Council’s Creative Industries ‘Thrive’ event taking place on Tuesday 15th October at the Lyric Theatre.  ‘Thrive’ is a half-day conference celebrating the success of Northern Ireland’s Creative Industries and exploring their increasing importance to our economic growth and job creation.

The conference will bring together international speaker Eric Huang, Development Director of digital agency Made in Me and recognised leaders in the Creative Industries in Northern Ireland.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and share best practice with practitioners and companies during breakout sessions featuring Dr Rachael Smart focusing on ‘strategy and planning’, Invest NI and Halo focusing on ‘growing your business’ and Creative & Cultural Skills and Creative Skillset  who will be available to discuss ‘skills development through apprenticeships’. 

Chief Executive at the Arts Council, Roisín McDonough, commented; “The CIIF Thrive event is an invaluable opportunity for anyone working in the creative industries in Northern Ireland to hear firsthand, how local companies have successfully used Arts Council funding to grow their business.  The breakout sessions will also be advantageous for anyone wishing to pick up top tips from experts in the Creative Industries.”
