Theatre Award nominations announced

  The judging panel saw more than 170 performances before creating a shortlist for each category. Pictured is a scene from Postcards from Dumbworld which has just been shortlisted for Best Opera at this year's Irish Times Theatre Awards.




Congratulations to a number of Northern Ireland Theatre Productions which have been shortlisted for this year's Irish Times Theatre Awards. Postcards from Dumbworld, written by composer Brian Irvine and writer/director John McIlduff, has been shortlisted for Best Opera, Rachel O'Riordan for best Director for Over the Bridge, produced by Green Shoot Productions and National Anthem produced by Ransom Productions, which where all funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The Arts Council also wishes to congratulate Eleanor Methven and Brid Brennan, who are both shortlisted for Best Supporting Actress, along with Conor MacNeill for Best Supporting Actor and Marty Rea for Best Actor.
