The Equality Commission for the fourth year is co-ordinating a series of events and activities that promote understanding and awareness of traveller issues across Northern Ireland. In recognition and support of this week the Arts Council is highlighting the role of the arts in developing understanding as well as celebrating the diversity that exists in Northern Ireland today. The Arts Council has funded a number of awards to organisations that support and work with the travelling communities.
