The Arts Council is the lead development agency for the arts in Northern Ireland. Our aim is to strengthen the arts by supporting our clients and making the case for growing the arts to Government and stakeholders. We are re-aligning our teams to meet these challenges and are seeking the following:
Sector Business Development Manager
(Ref: 08/06) £28,153-£38,131 (Aug 08: £30,142 - £38,893) 3 year contract
You will provide a business support and developmental role to the arts sector. You will engage directly with clients (or through partner organisations), assessing their business performance and advising them on areas such as funding, corporate governance, management, sustainability and compliance.

Policy Development Officer
(Ref: 08/07) £22,621-£29,922 (Aug 08: £24,089 - £30,521)
You will work with the Council’s research team translating research output into evidence based arts policies. You will scan the wider arts environment, advising on research needs, liaising with Arts Development Officers on relevant artform policies, and developing policy proposals for the arts.

Public Affairs Officer
(Ref: 08/08) £22,621-£29,922 pro rata (Aug 08: £24,089 - £30,521) 3 days per week
(to be reviewed after 1 year), 3 year contract
You will support the Council in delivering its advocacy strategy to Government at a regional and national level. You will liaise with political parties engaging directly on a regular basis with arts and cultural policy advisers, seeking opportunities to influence decision makers on behalf of the arts.

Internal Auditor

You will be responsible for preparing and implementing the Council’s internal audit workplan, monitoring all aspects of our business and reporting regularly to the Audit Committee. You will provide overall advice on compliance matters, identifying improvements to minimise vulnerability and risk.

Assistant Accountant

You will assist the Finance Manager in providing the management and Board of the Council with robust financial, budgeting and management accounting information. You will help ensure that the financial affairs of the Council are conducted in compliance with Government accounting standards and meet all internal and external audit requirements.
