Professional Development & Training Programme for Artists Tearmann - A Professional Development & Training Programme for Artists Tearmann is a cross border Artist Development Programme which makes available an outstanding facility and contemporary cultural resource to a generation and future arts administrators from both sides of the border. Taking inspiration from the gaelic term ‘Tearmann’, meaning sanctuary, this project focuses on the spirit of Donegal (Dún na nGall) in terms of landscape, culture and environment. The programme offers a structured practical basis, in a culturally unique context, an artists’ training and development programme. Tearmann is accredited by the Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, The National University of Ireland, Galway, who offer a 'Diploma in Arts Practice'. There will be special assistance for Irish learners who wish to participate fully in the programme.
