Arts and Culture Minister visits Arts Council

The Chairman of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Rosemary Kelly (left), and Chief Executive, Roisín McDonough (right), were delighted to welcome Maria Eagle MP, Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure, to the Arts Council on Tuesday October 3 rd. 

At the meeting, the Arts Council took the opportunity to present the strong case for increased Government support for the arts, and to brief the Minister on recent developments and major initiatives in the arts in Northern Ireland.  “It was a very constructive meeting”, said Ms Kelly, “and we’re confident that the Minister has a good understanding of the specific needs of the arts sector in Northern Ireland”.
