Vacancies at the Arts Council of Northern Ireland

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland invites applications for the following posts:

Receptionist (Ref 03/1)

Salary scale £11,549-£14,012

Applicants must have at least 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent which must include English Language and at least 1 year’s experience gained within the last 4 years in a post that included the operation of a busy switchboard and reception duties. As the first point of contact with the Arts Council the Receptionist must also have a neat and tidy presentation and effective communication and interpersonal skills. IT skills and an appreciation of equal opportunity issues are also required.

Departmental Support Officer (2 posts) (Ref 03/2)

Salary scale: £13,181-£19,012

Applicants must be educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, with English Language and Mathematics to at least GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent and must have at least 2 years’ administrative experience gained within the last 4 years and previous experience in the provision of secretarial type support services. IT skills, an appreciation of equal opportunity issues and the ability to work outside normal office hours are also essential.

Assistant IT Officer (Ref 03/3)

Salary scale: £13,181 to £19,012

Applicants must be educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent which must include a computer-related subject, with English Language and Mathematics to at least GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent and must have at least 2 years’ administrative experience gained within the last 4 years in a post that included the provision of IT Support and working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Application software, experience of upgrading PC systems and be able to design and update websites. An ability to troubleshoot and provide HelpDesk support and an appreciation of equal opportunity issues are also required.

Assistant Publications Officer (Ref: 03/4)

Salary scale £13,181-£19,012

Applicants must be educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent with English Language and Mathematics to at least GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent and must have at least 2 years’ administrative experience gained within the last 4 years and some experience of information gathering and dissemination. Familiarity with arts organisations in Northern Ireland and/or the Republic of Ireland, sub-editing skills, IT skills including Internet, good communication/interpersonal skills and an appreciation of equal opportunity issues are also required.
