PS1 RESIDENCY CONSULTATION Since 1986 the Arts Council of Northern Ireland has participated in the above residency at PS1 in New York City. Due to increasing costs and modest application levels (circa 20 per annum), the Council has decided not to offer this residency in 2002/03, and to review it for subsequent years. The Arts Council has corresponded with PS1 to ascertain if shorter-term residencies are an option, but they have indicated that the programme is only available for the one-year residency, with a cost of approximately £30,000 per annum to the host country. In order to assist the Council in evaluating the effectiveness of this programme and its benefits to artists from Northern Ireland, and whether Arts Council of Northern Ireland should continue to offer this residency, it would be useful if you could take the time to reply to the short questionnaire.
