invites applications for the following two newly created posts

which are offered as 5-year contracts (renewable)

Equality Officer (Ref: 01/03):

Applicants must have a 3^rd level qualification and at least three years experience, gained within the last 5 years, in a post that included the delivery of equality of opportunity policy and practice, a detailed knowledge of equality legislation particularly as it relates to Northern Ireland, experience of promoting equality awareness in an organisational context and project management skills. Experience in the preparation of an Equality Scheme would be an advantage.

Research and Policy Officer (Ref: 01/04):

Applicants must be educated to degree level and must have at least three years experience, gained within the last 5 years, in a post that included research, information gathering and analysis, an understanding of government structures and cultural policies in Northern Ireland and of equal opportunity issues and be skilled in research design and methodology and in the development and drafting of policy and discussion papers.

In addition to the specific post requirements shown above applicants for both posts must have effective IT, organisation and communication skills and must be able to analyse and evaluate information critically and present it in a useable format, to maintain effective relationships with a wide and differing range of organisations and bodies, to work outside normal hours and to travel throughout Northern Ireland.

The Salary Range for both posts is £17,358-£19,812 (under review).
