EQUALITY SCHEME Introductory Statement by the Chairman and Chief Executive The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is fully committed to the fulfilment of the Section 75 obligations on the promotion of equality of opportunity and good relations. This Equality Scheme sets out how the Arts Council proposes to fulfil those obligations. We will ensure that both Council members and staff of the Arts Council understand the need to implement this Scheme and we will give leadership within the Arts Council to achieve this. We will ensure that this Scheme is supported efficiently by the allocation of the necessary resources and training. We are also committed to ensuring that there are effective internal arrangements in place to ensure that the duties are effectively complied with including the monitoring and reviewing of progress.
