Rock School is Back in Carrickmore!

Mid-Ulster Community and Arts Trust (MUCAT) in partnership with The Nerve Centre is pleased to announce the return of the highly popular Rock School at The Patrician Community & Arts Centre, Carrickmore.

Due to the success of its one week course in 2006, the programme is being offered over a period of 21 weeks split into two terms. The first term, which covers 26 tuition hours over 10 weeks, will begin on Wednesday, 9 April.

Would-be rockers will learn the ins and outs of riffs, licks and rhythms through the expert tuition of Nerve Centre tutors. The programme combines technical mastery, repertoire development and creativity in guitar and drums as well as offering the chance to be involved in writing and producing using industry standard technology resulting in a one day recording session and an end of year performance. This is a unique opportunity to play and study rock with a team of eminent rock musicians some of whom have been signed to companies such as Geffen and Atlantic Records and worked with a variety of artists including the Undertones.

Participants must be aged between 12 and 17 years and have some experience of their chosen instrument. Places are limited so participants are advised to book early. The cost for the first 10 weeks is £70. If you wish to take part in this exciting project please contact:
