The day to day operation and management of ACNI is undertaken by the Council’s Executive under the direction of the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive is designated as the Council’s Accounting Officer by the Permanent Secretary of the Department and is personally responsible for safeguarding the public funds for which he/she has charge; for ensuring propriety and regularity in the handling of those public funds; and for the day-to-day operation and management of the Council.
