Council members are required to declare any gift or hospitality they may offer or receive in the course of their duties as a member of the Council. It is the general rule that gifts and hospitality must not be offered to, or accepted from, a third party which might reasonably be seen to compromise a member’s personal judgement or integrity. A hospitality register recording all hospitality offered and extended to Council is maintained and updated regularly.
