Sharon Kelly’s work explores the meaning of human experience – loss, grief and human relationships - using drawn image, sound and video. She studied at the University of Ulster gaining an MA there in 1989. Her work has been shown in many exhibitions and in a variety of contexts, for example, ‘Lifting the Veil’, a site-specific project at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin. She has exhibited in France, Canada, USA, Norway, Poland as well as extensively in Ireland. Kelly has undertaken many projects within the community – with schools, colleges, community groups and hospitals. From 1996-2000, she was the Artist-in-Residence with the Craigavon Area Hospital Group Trust.
