Kent Jones studied at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio from 1967-69 and the University of California, Santa Barbara where he gained a BA degree in Fine Art in 1972. He then went to the Slade School in London where he obtained a Masters in Fine Art in 1974. After a period of teaching he came to Northern Ireland in 1981 as the printmaker-in-residence. His work is represented in the collections of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Ulster Museum.
