Twilight in Donegal (1968)

Kathleen Bridle (b. 1897, Swalecliff, Co. Kent, d. 1989, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh)

The daughter of a coastguard officer, Kathleen Bridle studied from 1915 at the Metropolitan School of Art in Dublin and at the Royal College of Art, where she was a contemporary of Henry Moore and won the George Clausen prize. She moved to Fermanagh in 1926 and became a teacher. Her pupils included William Scott and T P Flanagan. She was an academician of the Royal Ulster Academy and exhibited regularly at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin.
