John Vallely studied at Belfast College of Art from 1959-61, followed by Edinburgh College of Art where he was awarded three scholarships which enabled him to visit France, Italy, Spain, Morocco and Algeria. Vallely’s work has been shown at the Cavehill Gallery, Belfast, the Eakin Gallery, Belfast, Jonathan Swift Gallery, Carrickfergus and in Cork, Dublin and Wexford. His work is represented in the collections of the Ulster Museum, Armagh County Museum and the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland.
