Lucy Turner studied at Manchester Polytechnic and Leeds Polytechnic where she specialised in printmaking. Her work has been exhibited widely and she has been the recipient of many awards including the Kenneth Crothers Dean and Curry Commission Award (Belfast Young Contemporaries) and several Arts Council of Northern Ireland awards. Turner’s work is inspired by the landscape and her immediate environment – the landmarks, rocks and minerals indigenous to Ireland. She is a member of Belfast Print Workshop and her skills span printmaking, multimedia and land arts.
