RFO Survey

Each year organisations in receipt of ASOP funding from Arts Council of Northern Ireland are required to complete a survey as a condition of their funding.

This submission collects data on organisation profile, staffing, expenditure and activity relating to performances, exhibitions, participation based activity, publications and support services. 

Submissions relating to the previous six months activity are required every six months (October and April). In 2008/09, the Arts Council introduced an on-line survey option.  We would encourage all organisations to use this option as it offers users the opportunity to download their data allowing further analysis for business development purposes.

Usernames and passwords have been sent to all users - if you did not receive your username and password, or are having difficulties using the online survey, please contact the Arts Council.

We do still retain provision for organisations to return submissions in a hard-copy format using Microsoft Word format.  However, there is additional data processing costs associated with this method which the Arts Council has to meet.  We no longer provide the option of returning data via Excel as variability in templates used to return data creates data entry difficulties.

RFO survey findings are used as a monitoring tool, providing evidence of the use of Arts Council Northern Ireland's funding including reporting to Government and other key stakeholders; supporting our monitoring of the whole regularly funded organisation portfolio - a major strand of our funding - and informing Arts Council policies, aims and ambitions.

If you complete the RFO survey online you DO NOT need to submit the forms electronically or in hard copy.  Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 any information held by us (which will include your application) is potentially accessible by the public.
