Michael Bell
A science graduate of Edinburgh University, Michael Bell is a self-taught artist. He began by sketching caricatures during a two year sojourn in Paris in the 1990s. His portraits (in oils) now exhibit regularly in the Royal Hibernian, Scottish and Ulster Academies. In 2004, he won the ‘Emer Gallery Prize for the Best Self Portrait in Any Medium’ and has subsequently accepted a number of private commissions.

'New Acquisitions Touring Exhibition' at the Clotworthy Arts Centre, Antrim,
until Friday 27th April.
