Executive Summary of the Sectoral Dramaturgy Project Evaluation
Artform Definition |
The Arts Council supports a full range of theatrical experiences from amateur and community drama, to professional theatre, youth drama and theatre in education. We encourage artistic excellence and innovative approaches in the creation of theatre; we support drama that reaches audiences throughout the region. We aim to make theatre and drama as accessible to audiences as possible. The drama and theatre sector comprises venues, venue-based companies, independent production companies, as well as individual theatre practitioners – actors, technicians, directors, designers, producers and playwrights. The Council encourages partnerships which strengthen and develop the theatre infrastructure and create opportunities for skills development. |
